This sets out, step-by-step, how we intend to produce the first Quality Improvement Action Plan for the academic year 2006/07 in the period between now and September.

It is vital that there is significant engagement by many college colleagues in the production of the QI Action Plan; it must be an action plan that is driven by the needs of the members.

The actions required by members are set out in full in the attached document ‘The Way Forward’, but the initial requirement is for information about quality improvement needs from the following: –

4Principals have already been asked to supply their college’s Self Assessment Report, OFSTED Annual Assessment Visit Report and LSC Annual Performance Review Report

4Leaders of FE Sussex Networks will also be contacted individually in the very near future

If this process can be driven through rigorously, we will be able to put in place a coherent action plan for QI by the end of August. This will represent a step-change in the way we operate.
