The central function of FE Sussex has always been to help our member colleges improve the quality of their provision and services, and this priority remains as the prime driver of our work. So as to further our effectiveness in quality improvement, the FE Sussex Quality Improvement Strategy for the three-year period 2006/09 has been launched.

To implement the Strategy, there will be an annual Quality Improvement Action Plan, giving practical details of how we will help our member colleges meet their quality improvement needs which will ultimately, in the long term help them move towards sustainability and self-regulation.

It is vital that there is significant engagement by many college colleagues in the production of the QI Action Plan; it must be an action plan that is driven by the needs of the members. The actions required by members are set out in full in ‘The Way Forward’.
