Sussex Spring Awards 2005:
Winning Learners Recognised for Achievements

Learners from across Sussex were rewarded for their efforts at a new awards ceremony launched to highlight the training achievements of individuals, colleges, employers and employees.

The Sussex Spring Awards were held on Wednesday 27 April 2005 at the Corn Exchange in Brighton. For the first time, major players in the training and development world in Sussex joined together to celebrate the best and brightest achievements in training, development and lifelong learning. The awards were organised by FE Sussex – a partnership of Sussex colleges set up to improve the experience of further education learners.

Winners at this prestigious event included young people who have overcome adversity to achieve qualifications and adults who have returned to learning new skills after long breaks away from formal training.

The awards in 2005 were sponsored by: SCTP Ltd, FESussex Ltd, Connexions, Sussex Advice and Skills, Sussex Enterprise and Sussex LSC.
